It's 2024 summer. New Baldi mods are dropping like crazy. People like it and people play them. The modding community is rich of all kinds of mods. Bigthinker, MTM101 and all of these dudes.
Now all of a sudden it's December 31st 2024 that quickly turns into January 1st 2025. We all know that.
Anyways now it's summer. School just ended and I check the modding page. +7 Days ago, +9 days ago, +15 days ago... The modding community has gone quiet. No new mods in BB+ and BBIEAL. Well not much. The latest update was 2 days ago and it fixed Baldi slapping too loud.
September 30th 2025. School has been going for a while now but some dude decides to make a mod out of a number. THREE! (
https://filecache39.gamebanana.com/mods/three_1de99.zip). And it BLEW UP! Popular YouTubers were playing it. All kinds of YouTubers who knew Baldid played it. Bjuu Mike, Kindly Keyin, TFG etc. It was, at the time a new and original mod.
December 2025. Baldi's 67 mod, and number mods. When popular people played the smaller number mods and they blew up, people realized "What if we make our own mod? Nah it'll probably flop"
January 19th 2026. The -3 mod was just released. And it Also BLEW UP. Right now the gamebanana page (
https://gamebanana.com/mods/647218) shows it has OVER 75K DOWNLOADS! That's a lot. But it was made pretty early into the numberslop era. Well... copycats were also appearing everywhere. And around January 27th the SQUARE ROOT OF THREE mod was released. And it got pretty successful. I've never played it but it should be the same fast retextured Baldi. THREE was later privated by amongzac around this period. The reason is commonly believed to be related to the amount of copycats but idk for sure. But the viral videos about the mod were still up on social media. That means by privating the mod you still haven't really privated the popularity or idea of the mod... Thats how the internet works.
The end of February a mod called Pneumonoultramicroscopic something (pasted here: Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis) was released. It was pretty much the same. Baldi obsessed with 1 word or number and he repeats it really fast really many times. And Baldi himself is really fast too.
March. As the snow is still melting, people are slowly realizing that "Wait... isn't this like ai slop" and my personal answer to that is: yes.
It is really similar to AI. It was cool at first until everybody got it and used to to generate massive amounts of shit. Like the mods were open sources of the THREE mod just downloaded from a scetchy website, overhauled 3 times, bugfixed 29 times and released just to be copied under a different name countless times.
April. Well now people are already hating numberslop. It has filled up the rich community with massive amounts of low effort shit. Then somewhere like 31st march or 1st april the 32 mod was released. Again getting updates until 1.0.3 or 1.1.0 or something. People are now geniuinelt hating numberslop. The rich community has been filled up with genuine fucking SHIT! Threads and blogs are appearing on gamebanana talking about the Baldi stuff.
May. "FUCK NUMBERSLOP!". Where has the rich community gone. Though the amount of numberslop has slowed down, many MANY are still being uploaded and lots are on the main page of the community. People hate numberslop.
anyways June. @mystman12 released the June status update that was promised for the end of may. FUCK YOU MYSTMA- khm. I love you mistyguy. Anyways numberslop is finally slowing down. People are still hating it but atleast it stopped! Right...
July. Mystman tweeted about the drama going on. According to Flowerpot or somebody on YouTube, it was the first time he had reacted with what was going on inside the community. No only feedback from the site or patreon or emails or stuff. On twitter (or now X as it's called) he posted this:

There he talks about how you shouldn't send like death threats or something to these guys making the mods because it could be their first step towards something bigger. But well if there's a teenager at 4AM thats also a modder who made a shitty ass slop mod in 30 minutes and called it like "101844682372". That isn't somebodys first step. That's slop. But well you can check it by looking at the persons profile to see what submissions he has.
